    This retreat is based at Chateau de la Vigne, a holiday property I have owned and run for over 20 years.

    I’ve put together a fantastic schedule, based very closely on my previous highly successful yoga health retreats with my expert team.

    Whether it’s a family gathering or an adventurous trip of a lifetime, a holiday to me signifies a time when I’m allowed to withdraw from the usual day-to-day activities, break from routine and attempt a period of rest and relaxation, with the aim of resuming my normal lifestyle with vigour and energy 2 weeks later.

    Well, that’s the theory but as many of you will agree, long-distance travel, being away from home conveniences and the challenge of another language and culture can mean that your holiday routine and activities are far from restful nor relaxing. You return at the end of a long-awaited holiday without fulfilling the fundamental aim of relaxing and recharging.

    A health retreat, however, quite simply offers you the perfect opportunity to do just that; retreat from the day-to-day routines with the sole purpose of focusing on your health and wellbeing, both mentally and physically.

    Escape to a beautiful location with comfortable accommodation, carefully considered food, organised exercise activities, good facilities and access to professional therapists, without any other distractions and the long lasting effect of a retreat can have a significant impact.

    Running my first yoga retreat in 2014 was an incredible experience both professionally and on a personal level and it is now the highlight of my year! I urge anyone interested in improving their lifestyle and making changes to their health and wellness to prioritise a health retreat in their busy schedules.

      The June 2022 Yoga Retreat was fantastic. May and her team are wonderful hosts and there was a very warm welcome at the Chateau. There was never a dull moment and plenty to keep me entertained. I loved meeting like-minded Souls and enjoyed wonderful conversations. The ‘MayWay’ meals were delicious and beautifully presented, as well as being nutritious. The cooking Demos were very informative and taught me lots of practical tips that I can easily put into practice at home. Jamie knows how to make the daily yoga classes fun and push the boundaries of flexibility. The team took great care of us and I felt thoroughly pampered for five days. Thank you for a wonderful time and I look forward to joining you again sometime.

      Just come back from an amazing break at May’s beautiful chateau feeling re-energised and motivated to continue the May Way journey . Not only It was healthy ,invigorating and educational but fun! I met a lot of like minded people and we were so engaged in conversations with each other that time flew by and when we had to say good bye we were sad and emotional . May and her family are wonderful hosts and she is an inspiration ! May goes out if her way to make everyone enjoy the stay but at the same time we learn how to live healthy life and enjoy food. There were wonderful people sharing their knowledge for which I am very grateful .
      It felt like we were all friends of May and she created the very special experience for us .
      I have been to many retreats in the past but this one was definitely the best and most memorable .       I have just returned from a brilliant 5 day health retreat at Chateau de La Vigne. What an amazing experience! Everything was so perfect & for me it would be impossible to fault even the tiniest detail. From the crisp white bed linen to the restaurant quality nutritious food & snacks.
      May, her husband Guy, her daughter Jade and helper Roger are the perfect team & have thought of everything to make the retreat a memorable experience.
      May herself has that rare gift of making sure that every guest feels included & special. She has an amazing knowledge on nutrition & her morning cookery demonstrations were practical & informative.
      Our yoga sessions led by Jamie were fantastic & I loved our fitness classes with Caroline. We were privileged to share their expertise & inspired by their level of fitness & knowledge.
      I feel so energised & positive after my retreat & already look forward to my next escape to Chateau de La Vigne.

      Just the restorative reset I was hoping for and much much more! The chateau and hospitality of May, her family and team offered a little oasis of health. Ample time for relaxation, plenty of nutritious food (learned a few new tricks to put to practice in my own kitchen!), exercise (thank you Caroline!), yoga and massage (thank you Jamie!), walks through the beautiful Loire countryside, and fabulous conversations with all the other guests. Time flew by and all over too quickly but many healthy ideas to incorporate in our busy lives and hope to visit again!

      What makes this retreat so special is that it is at the home of May, so it has such a warm and non commercial feel. It feels so intimate which helps you connect with all the other amazing ladies. It was a perfect mix of nutrition lessons and advice / delicious nutritious meals / very well taught yoga / incredible circuit training / walks / fun by the pool chilling. Each day was beautifully well paced, as a result I really do feel I have re-set my body and mind in a kind way and learnt a lot to take home with me to continue to feel good.       I cannot praise this Retreat highly enough. I have not practised yoga for many years so I was quite concerned about my ability to do the yoga element. I really didn’t need to worry at all. Jamie is such an excellent teacher, the classes were challenging but his instruction and attention to detail made them manageable and even enjoyable, especially the relaxation element! I achieved more than I ever thought I would and now have the confidence to continue practising yoga again.
      May’s cookery demonstrations were also excellent. Informative, practical and good fun, I now feel much better equipped to eat more healthily and have already made significant changes to my weekly shopping list! May’s knowledge of nutrition is so extensive the sessions are packed with useful tips and suggestions but her style of delivery is so warm and relaxed you don’t feel lectured to at any point, just gently guided towards adopting healthier eating habits, if you so wish.
      The small group size contributed to the abiding atmosphere and feel of the Retreat. It was like joining a family of like-minded, lovely people – truly providing ‘time-out’ from the stresses of day to day life whilst being so well looked after.
      Overall this is a wonderful way to spend four days.
      Thank you May, Jamie, Guy and Jade for going above and beyond, and looking after us all so well. Also, a big thank you to my fellow retreatants for being such good company and being so willing to share your knowledge and expertise too!
